Aer Lingus made one nervous first-time flyer’s dreams come true with a special surprise on board.
As Kate Lawler headed off on her first trip from Dublin to Lanzarote on Tuesday afternoon, the cabin crew made sure she felt right at home by letting her borrow one of their uniforms.
Her mum Niamh took to Facebook to thank the airline.
“During the flight our daughter Kate walked down to the rear of the plane and the air hostesses spoke with her and realised it was her first time on an aeroplane,” she wrote.
“They dressed her up in the Aer Lingus uniform and she became an extra crew member for a few minutes.
“Thank you to all the Aer Lingus crew on board for making this such an exciting and memorable experience for her and us.”
The adorable little girl beamed with pride as she donned the airline’s famous green blazer and matching silk scarf.
A spokesperson for Aer Lingus responded: “Kate it's great to hear that our crew could make the flight an enjoyable one for you and your family.
“We know they would like to thank Kate for her work on board, the help was appreciated.”
