Aer Lingus and GOAL send aid to Philippines
AER Lingus and GOAL have teamed up to fly 40 tonnes of humanitarian aid to those affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
The cargo includes much-needed emergency medical supplies, water, food, shelter materials and other items.
An Aer Lingus aircraft will fly the supplies from Dublin to Dubai on Sunday, and GOAL will arrange onward transport and will use its network of local partners to distribute the aid. GOAL has already reached more than 15,000 people across Leyte and Panay – two of the worst-hit islands.
