GERRY Adams has expressed his sadness on the death of Dolours Price - but refused to comment on her allegations of his role in the IRA.
The Sinn Fein President said Ms Price's death was "very, very sad" and she had a difficult life.
He said her passing will be a huge blow for her family and particularly her two sons, Danny and Oscar.
Mr Adams and Sinn Fein have repeatedly rejected Ms Price's allegations of his IRA past.
The party described her as an "opponent of the peace process".
But Mr Adams refused to comment on his party's past statements about Ms Price.
He said it was "not the time" to discuss these matters.
"I think I have said enough," he said.
