A 'Strictly' glamorous affair as celebs put best foot forward for charity
A host of famous faces were put through their paces ahead of the annual 'Strictly Against Breast Cancer' fundraiser next month.
Among the well-known personalities taking part this year are TV3 presenters Elaine Crowley and Tommy Martin, as well as ex-rugby international Shane Byrne, and RTÉ weathergirl Helen Curran.
They will take to the dance floor at Dublin's Convention Centre on November 21.
On the night, guests from the world of business, arts, sports, media and entertainment, will gather on the pink carpet to experience a "spectacle of glamour".
All funds raised will go to Breast Cancer Ireland, the charity established to raise funds in support of pioneering research, while increasing awareness of the disease in Ireland.
Each of the participants over the next four weeks, will undergo a rigorous regime of dance classes, led by a team of professional choreographers.
All are hoping their fancy footwork will woo the judging panel comprising TV presenter Eoghan McDermott, solicitor Gerald Keane, and author Emma Hannigan.
Last year, former international rugby referee Alan Lewis, and make-up artist Annie Gribbin, took top prize.
2FM's Eoghan McDermott, and his partner Gill Keogh, came in second with the Charleston, and Ireland AM's Sinead Desmond and presenter Kamal Ibrahim, took third place with their version of Dirty Dancing.
Tickets are €150 each and are on sale at breastcancerireland.com.
Dress code is 'strictly black tie'.
