GARDAI have seized €62,000 worth of cannabis plants in a raid in Co Kildare

As part of on-going intelligence-led operations targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Leixlip / Celbridge officers seized cannabis plants yesterday.

Gardai from Celbridge assisted by Gardai from Leixlip and Kilcock carried out a planned search of a house in Crodaun Forest Park, Celbridge yesterday afternoon.

During the search they discovered cannabis plants with an estimated street value of up to €62,000.

A man in his 60s was arrested at the scene and was detained.

He is scheduled to appear before Blanchardstown District Court this morning charged in connection with this seizure.
