Both President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina will be involved, laying wreaths at two separate ceremonies. President Higgins will lay a wreath at the Garden of Remembrance, while Sabina will remember Countess Constance Markievicz at Glasnevin Cemetery.

The acting Taoiseach Enda Kenny will be among those attending events today.
