'Wrecking The Rising' originally aired on TG4.

This critically acclaimed three-part drama series, laced with contemporary humour, follows three Dubliners as they're mysteriously transported back to 1916, just before the Rising takes place.

Previously broadcast by TG4 (Irish with English subtitles), Wrecking the Rising's three parts will be shown on November 9, 10 and 11. It's hoped they'll be a hit with secondary school pupils.

In the series a dreadful mishap occurs which threatens to wreck the Rising before it begins. The question is - can the three lads save the day? Special guests attending the screening on Friday, November 11, include two of the series' stars Lochlann Ó Mearáin and Peter Coonan (Fran from Love/Hate), as well as director, Ruán Magan. The screenings take place at Seanscoil Sailearna, Indreabhán (Inverin).
