Communication is key if/when a cyber security breach takes place in your business explains expert Brian Honan.

"There are mandatory new EU laws coming in that means companies have to publicly announce if they have had a security breach," says Honan.  "But news leaks very quickly these days, especially through the likes of social media, so your hand may be forced if a breach does happen." 

"Best practice is always to be prepared and to have an instant response plan in place, including communications to stakeholders, the media and customers affected."

Brian Honan will be speaking at Dublin Info Sec 2016, Ireland's leading cyber security conference in the RDS on 15th November.
