A US firm has announced it will create 300 high-skilled jobs in Limerick in the next three years.
Regeneron Pharmaceuticals biopharmaceutical company is to apply for planning permission to build a production plant in Limerick.
Some 600 temporary construction jobs will be created over two years, and an extra 300 permanent jobs will open for scientists, engineers and technicians by the end of 2016.
The plant will be built on a12-hectare site which was previously owned by Dell, at Raheen Business Park.
Regeneron is one of the largest and fastest growing biopharmaceutical companies in the US. It develops medicines for a range of illnesses, including eye diseases and colorectal cancer.
The company is to seek planning permission for a $300m investment the Limerick city site, which has been vacant since 2009.
