IT’S a Christmas millions of Beliebers around the world won’t ever forget.
Justin Bieber has announced via Twitter that he’s “retiring”.
The singer made the announcement in at approximately 3am Irish time.
“My beloved beliebers I'm officially retiring,” he posted on his Twitter account.
When asked to explain his decision, the popstar pointed the finger at the media and the appeared to contradict his earlier statement.
“The media talks a lot about me. They make a up a lot of lies and want me to fail but I'm never leaving you, being a belieber is a lifestyle.”
Despite this contradiction, the ‘retirement’ post has not been removed.
Instead he wrote this message: “Be kind loving to each other, forgive each other as god forgave us through Christ Merry Christmas IM HERE FOREVER.”
And this was followed by: “I'm not leaving u.”
He then urged his followers to see his ‘Believe’ film, saying it shows the “real” Justin Bieber.
So far, there has been no official word from his management team about what his “retirement” means.
But doubtless it will cause alarm for his 47 million Twitter followers.
His message comes just days after the 19-year-old told a Los Angeles radio station that he was finishing after his next album.
"After the album, um, I'm actually retiring man. I'm retiring,” he said.
However, the statement was later played down by his management team.
