Singer Healy plans to tie knot with rugby star Foden in country estate
IT'S going to be the wedding of the year, packed with stars from the worlds of sport and music, writes Barry Duggan.
Una Healy (30) from The Saturdays and English rugby star Ben Foden (26), will celebrate their wedding at an exclusive country house in Co Tipperary.
Kilshane House -- three miles outside Tipperary town -- will host what will be the most talked-about wedding of 2012.
Management at the house remained tightlipped yesterday, but the Irish Independent has learnt the venue has been booked after the couple paid a secret visit to Kilshane House last month.
Located in the centre of 320 acres of parkland, the singer and rugby player can be assured of complete privacy on their big day.
A surrounding boundary wall and security gates at the entrance to the estate provide extra security.
The house was built in 1822 and restored just over 10 years ago.
It is not yet known where the couple will be married, but they have the option of St Patrick's Cathedral, in Healy's home town of Thurles, or nearby Holy Cross Abbey, where Cranberries singer Dolores O'Riordan was wed in 1994.
Ms Healy is expecting the couple's first child -- a girl -- next month.
