Group of 125 cyclists tackling 130km Dublin to Kilkenny route for Lara Lynn House

A group of 125 cyclists started out on a 135-kilometre cycle from Dublin to Kilkenny today.

The cyclists set out at 9.30am from Pearse Street garda station.

The charity cycle was organised by garda Sandra Brennan, and Chief Superintendent Michael O'Sullivan saw them off this morning.

The group hope to reach Kilkenny by 4.30pm this evening.

One cyclist Mark Condren spoke to at 12.30pm today: "We're on the trail and we're flying along. We're just coming out of Kildare now."

"It's great fun. We're all in a pack here together. We're all fighting fit."
