Gardai investigate incident where a pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car
Gardai are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Cork in the early hours of this morning.
At around 3.50 am a 28-year-old male pedestrian was seriously injured when he was struck by a car on Kilmallock Road, Charleville.
He was taken by ambulance to Limerick Regional Hospital.
The occupants of the car were not injured.
The road is now closed to traffic and diversions are in place.
Forensic collision investigators have been notified to attend the scene, a garda spokesperson said.
