Rugbyman says watch your back
Irish rugby star John Hayes has lined out to raise awareness of a condition known as Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS).
Around 44,000 Irish people suffer from this painful rheumatic disease which mainly attacks the spine and sacroiliac joints.
It can also affect other joints, tendons and ligaments. Left untreated, there can be damage to the spine, stiffening of the rib cage, disability and a general reduction in quality of life.
