Friesian cow in Dublin Zoo

Tuesday May 22 2007

DUBLIN Zoo yesterday opened its gates for Bluebell, a 3-year-old pedigree Friesian cow, who was donated to the zoo by the farming and food educational body, Agri Aware. To mark her arrival, Agri Aware and Dublin Zoo are holding a day of farming activities for the general public in City Farm next Sunday, May 27. Activities will include cow milking, butter-making, sheep shearing, wool spinning, weaving and horse-shoe making.

Leo Oosterweghel, director of Dublin Zoo, said said Bluebell had settled in well and he was sure children would adore her.
