Emma Stone definitely got her red carpet look mastered in Venice last night.
The actress was at the 71st Venice International Film Festival to promote her new film 'Birdman', which also stars Michael Keaton, Edward Norton and Naomi Watts. Stone (25) has also found a way to mix business with pleasure at the festival: her boyfriend Andrew Garfield is also in town to promote '99 Homes'.
The couple met on set in The Amazing Spider Man in 2012.
Meanwhile, Michael Keaton's performance in 'Birdman' has been called "the comeback of the century" as the movie opened the film festival.
The former Batman plays an over-the-hill action star struggling to recover a sense of self-worth by putting on a heavyweight Broadway play in the movie, which was directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu.
The film had its first screening for journalists ahead of an evening gala attended by the director and stars Keaton, Norton and Stone.
Industry bible Variety labelled Keaton's performance "the comeback of the century".
The movie is one of 20 competing for the Golden Lion. The festival runs until September 6.
