X Factor USA faces new crisis as LA Reid quits the judging panel

EMBATTLED X Factor USA bosses have been dealt a huge blow one week before the final after LA Reid announced he is quitting the judging panel after two series.
The judge cited that he has neglected his record label due to the time commitments to the struggling talent show.
It is believed the resignation caught show bosses by surprise – normally judges reveal their intentions after the series ends.
Reid still has one act left in the final, country singer Tate Stevens who has been one of the favourites to win the show since the beginning of the series.
The move comes as another headache for Simon Cowell – X Factor UK is already facing a major judging panel revamp and has just finished one of its lowest rated series ever.
Britney Spears has said she would like to return to the panel next year – however she has underwhelmed viewers despite her $15m deal.
X Factor USA has struggled with ratings in the US since its launch – bosses were hoping it would rival American Idol which regularly pulls in over 30m viewers – however X Factor USA has struggled to hit double digits.
