X FACTOR producers have bowed to pressure from the show’s fans and announced they are changing the audition format for the show.
For this year’s audition rounds producers have confirmed a return to the audition room, rather than the large arenas from recent years.
Fans complained that one of the most popular parts of the audition rounds, the bad singers, would stop their performance as soon as the live audience started booing.
The producers are now hoping to capitalise on the less-talented singers’ auditions to give the ailing talent show a new lease of life.
It is the first of what is expected to be a series of changes to this year’s show, after last year’s series lost two million viewers.
