She was a force to be reckoned with on the music scene, and now Linda Martin is about to make her stage debut.
The former Eurovision winner is the latest Irish celebrity to be immortalised in the comedy world by sketch artist Mario Rosenstock.
The Dublin funnyman will debut the singer-turned-band manager when his latest Gift Grub show comes to the Olympia Theatre this Thursday.
And if she proves popular, Martin could also see herself on the TV screen courtesy of Rosenstock and his hit RTE2 show.
The 61-year-old is not the only new character to make the stage with U2’s Bono and The Edge set to make their theatre debut.
“Linda Martin is a new character, we do her with all her cats and dogs,” Rosenstock told The Herald.
“She has 17 dogs at the moment.”
And the comedian isn't doubting that Linda Martin could become a fan in time.
The comedian said RTE presenter O’Callaghan will have a big role in the stage show, and he is also expecting a visit from her.
“Miriam came to the second show when I was doing her they put the camera on her and the crowd went mad so she came out and took a bow,” he said.
The 42-year-old is expected to return to RTE screens later this year.
While RTE confirmed the programme will be back, Rosenstock said that he has yet to receive verification from the broadcaster.
