THE man who wrote a letter to an American news anchor questioning her suitability to be on television due to her size has stood by his comments.
The letter was written by Kenneth Krause, a personal injury lawyer from Wisconsin.
He released a statement yesterday in response to the controversy and said: “I hope she will finally take advantage of a rare and golden opportunity to influence the health and psychological wellbeing of Coulee Region children by transforming herself for all of her viewers to see over the next year.
“I would be absolutely pleased to offer Jennifer any advice or support she would be willing to accept”, he continued.
In his original letter Krause had said: “Surely you don't consider yourself a suitable example for this community's young people, girls in particular."
However her response to his letter on TV the next day has since went viral, prompting thousands of people to write to the news anchor and offer their support.
