TV3 releases its 'cracker' Christmas line-up

TV3 hopes to pull in the viewers this Christmas with a combination of movie blockbusters, comedy, drama and the finales of long-running tv shows.

The line-up of films over the festive season includes, 'Public Enemies', 'The Taking of Pelham 123', 'The Break Up' and 'The Bucket List' along with 'Man About Dog' and Roddy'Doyle's 'The Snapper'.

The Christmas night film is 'The Bourne Identity' and Vincent Browne will hold centre stage in a St Stephen's night special with three celebrity guests who look back over the last year.

A bumper Christmas episode of 'Downton Abbey' will also be screened on St Stephen's Day. Viewers will also be given a preview of "the most anticipated" Irish show of 2012 -- 'Tallafornia'

The month kicks off with the live crowning of a king or queen of the jungle in 'I'm a Celebrity'. It will be followed by a 'Finals Fortnight' in mid-December which includes Bill Cullen hiring his first entrepreneur in 'The Apprentice', which carries a prize of €200,000.

'Comedy Christmas Crackers' spans over four straight nights of Irish stand-up comedians, including Tommy Tiernan, PJ Gallagher and Dylan Moran.
