Tourette Syndrome, Aspergers’ Syndrome, nine brain surgeries and one open-heart surgery, but nothing has held Trent Girone back.
The 21-year-old American stole hearts across the world and began trending on Twitter following his game show debut on ‘Wheel Of Fortune’.
Trent said he has watched the show religiously since he was two years of age and applied to be on the show at every opportunity.
And he certainly made an impression.
Although he didn’t win, Trent became a trending topic with the hashtag #TeamTrent online when he easily solved the word problem ‘cream cheese coffee cake’.
Trent described filming the episode as one of the best days of his life.
“Meeting Pat [host Pat Sajak], during the third taping of the day I was on the show, was as awesome and amazing as it could be,” Trent said on his contestant profile.
“ I even mentioned the infamous category, “Megaword”.
“However, I did not get to talk to Vanna, but sure wish I had been able to!”
“While on camera, I was very relaxed and focused the whole time, and did my best to be myself and make sure not to call any letters already called,” he continued.
“My best advice to future contestants is to relax and have a good time. It is a lot of fun, whether you win big or not.
“That is my number one guarantee."
