IRISH style experts Darren Kennedy and Lisa Fitzpatrick have both landed major roles on British television.

Lisa, known to Irish viewers of TV3’s Ireland AM, will present fashion segments on ITV show This Morning.

Darren, who was voted Ireland’s most stylish man at this year’s VIP Awards, will host Style Squad on This Morning’s summer series.

DIT graduate Darren said he was delighted with the new role.

Meanwhile, Lisa (40) will join hosts Eamonn Holmes and his wife Ruth Langsford as she doles out fashion advice on three episodes of the show this July and August. “I am delighted. We have confirmed some dates and it's nice to be part of the summer team,” Lisa said.

“I have worked with Karen Millen and Oasis in the UK, but this is completely different.

“My first venture into TV in the UK was with Louis Walsh on Deal Or No Deal so I wouldn't really call that proper TV,” she said with a laugh.

The concept of the show will be similar to TV3's Ireland AM on which Lisa regularly appears.

“I'm going to be looking at new trends and discovering new looks.

“I've got three shows out of seven and my first is on July 23.”

It may be her first time giving UK fashion lovers advice on screen, but Lisa is not worried about the style divide between Ireland and the UK.

“I am very much interested in what the viewer wants to see and affordable prices. I used to be 16st and a size 18 so I know that women, trust me,” she added.

She will be following in the footsteps of another well known Irish presenter, Amanda Byram, who worked on the show last month. Amanda previously presented the show with Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness in 2010.
