CORRIE villain Terry Duckworth leaves barmaid Tina McIntyre lying unconscious in a building he plans to set ablaze as part of an insurance scam.

Tina, dating Terry's son Tommy, is outraged when she discovers the evil schemer (played by Nigel Pivaro), plans to torch the lapdancing club and threatens to call the police.

In scenes to air on Wednesday, Terry loses his temper and grabs Tina (Michelle Keegan).

But when she falls and knocks her head on the floor he panics and runs away, leaving her lying in a pool of blood.

Terry then lies to son Tommy (Chris Fountain) and tells him she has been attacked by loan sharks and he must help him get money to keep them from coming back.

With his girlfriend rushed to hospital in a coma, viewers will have to wait to see if Tommy will be driven to crime, just like his father.

Keegan, who recently won Sexiest Female at the British Soap Awards, has previously revealed the fight scenes left her covered in bruises as she insisted on doing her own stunts for the dramatic storyline.
