REALITY show stars Jedward have revealed they have contacted new 'X Factor' contestant Mary Byrne to offer her advice.

Tesco employee Ms Byrne, caused a sensation on the ITV programme two weeks ago when she sang Shirley Bassey song 'I Who Have Nothing' at the Dublin auditions. A performance that has been viewed three quarters of a million times on You Tube.

"The first thing we said to Mary was 'get ready for Oprah Winfrey' -- because that's where Susan Boyle ended up," Edward Grimes said.

Should she make the finals of the 'X Factor', she could well be joining Jedward who are in talks to perform their next single on the live shows.

Jedward were speaking yesterday in Dublin at the launch of 'Write Up My Street', made up of stories from 31 young authors chosen in a nationwide competition launched by the brothers in April. All proceeds from the book, will be donated to the Barnardos Children's Charity.
