Cheryl Cole has dismissed talk that she is to return to the judge’s seat on X Factor this year.
The singer, who spent the Christmas and New Year in South Africa with friends, shared a cryptic tweet with fans.
"Same rumours, different day/year," she wrote.
It was believed that the 30-year-old was to return to the small screen on music mogul Simon Cowell’s reality TV talent show.
Cheryl originally left the UK version of the show to work with Cowell on the USA show in 2011.
But she was replaced by Nicole Scherzinger when it was reported American fans struggled to understand her Newcastle accent.
The singer also took to social media during her winter break to slam rumours she kissed 20-year-old student Tom Julius at a New Year’s Eve Party.
“It's actually making me sad I had such a lovely new year and was more than happy to spend time and take pictures with people...,” she wrote on Twitter.
“Now somehow a 9 year old child who gave me a kiss has turned into me kissing a random 20yr old! Can't do right for doing wrong seriously.
“Anyway.. I hope you're all doing good, happy and ready for the new year x.”
The sun suited Cole on her trip abroad as she posted snaps online of her bronzed self relaxing.
The star glowed in a photo she posted of her over dinner.
“Beautiful sunset in a beautiful city with beautiful people,” she wrote.
