Rubberbandits tipped to become successors to Inbetweeners with Channel 4 deal for show

THE RUBBERBANDITS may soon be swapping their ‘Horse Outside’ for a much more salubrious model.

The Limerick duo who shot to fame on the RTE show Republic of Telly, have landed their own show on Channel 4.



They are set to start filming the 30 minute pilot in the coming months and it will be aired later this year.



Channel 4 gave the late comedian Dermot Morgan his break with Father Ted, and spotted the Rubberbandits when they took part in the online comedy showcase Comedy Blaps.



They are being tipped to take over from The Inbetweeners on Channel 4 as the coming comic duo to watch.



Brendan O’Carroll is enjoying huge success in the UK currently with Mrs Brown’s Boys and comedian Graham Norton is winning the battle of the chat show kings.



The Rubberbandits, who go by the names Blindboy Boat Club and Mr Chrome became internet sensations in 2010 with their viral video for the hit single Horse Outside. They received 9 million hits on YouTube.
