Nicole Scherzinger refuses to sign new X Factor contract due to album release clash
NICOLE Scherzinger may not return to the X Factor this year, after her record label decided to launch her new album in November.
Show bosses have now been forced to consider upping their offer to the star, due toher popularity with viewers last year.
Scherzinger’s record label is keen for a November release date for her new album, and are already pencilling in dates in the US for a promotional tour.
It is believed that although the label will allow her to remain on the panel, she would be out of the country for large parts of the series.
The Sun reports she is fearful she may be unable to fully commit to her acts, which may leave her open to criticism in the press.
Kelly Rowland infamously missed a live show during her time on the show, as she fell ill while in the States – and was ravaged by fans of the show.
X Factor bosses are said to be working closely with the singer, to make her schedule as simple as possible.
Yesterday it was reported that Noel Gallagher from Oasis is close to signing a €2.5m deal to join the panel.
