THE former director of programmes at Channel 5 in the UK had his first day in his new job at TV3 yesterday, writes Ken Sweeney.
But Jeff Ford, TV3's new group director of content, didn't spend the day in his office. He doesn't have one.
Declining to take over the plush quarters once occupied by predecessor Ben Frow, he has instead asked to work alongside colleagues in the programming department.
"Ben Frow's office will now be used as a meeting room," a TV3 spokeswoman has said.
However, the station said any changes made by TV3's new group director of content would be some way off reaching our screens, with programming already planned six months ahead by the outgoing Mr Frow, who is now director of programmes for Channel 5.
