Watch out Ray, the boss is back.

Producer and presenter Jenny Kelly has returned to her day job on Today FM after 18 months on maternity leave.

Jenny has worked on her husband Ray D'Arcy's breakfast show for the last 13 years.

And the producer was worried she may have lost her touch after more than a year out of the job.

The mum-of-two said she felt like a young novice again when it came to making the move back to work, but she soon got into the swing of things.

"I feel like I'm on work experience," she said about her first day back on the job.

"How do I do this again?" she joked.

The Dublin native has been on maternity leave since the arrival of her and Ray's son Tom in June 2012. The chatty host, who took extended leave from the hit radio show, admitted she had been dreading her return for the last few months.

"My anxiety has been building slowly," she said.

"I didn't want to over think it, but I was thinking about all the little things I was going to miss like when he wakes up in the morning."

Jenny said she had no regrets about a longer break from work as she looked after Tom and the couple's daughter, Kate.

"It was amazing and I loved every single second of it," she said.

"This is odd because this is the first time I am working with you as my wife," commented Ray as he welcomed Jenny back live on air yesterday.

The cute pair got a fit of the giggles when Jenny mistakenly told Ray "yes, you are my wife".

"You have been away for a while, it will take you awhile to get into it," Ray laughed.

The 40-year-old producer first met Ray on the radio show and they got hitched in a humanist ceremony in Meath last August.

Ray enjoyed his first Christmas as a married man, which included visiting family and taking a trip to the zoo.

"We will probably look back on Christmas and say it was the best day of the year," Ray told the Herald recently.
