FORMER Strictly Come Dancing star Nancy Dell'Olio is to open an adult festival, weeks after organisers were forced to change their plans following a legal row with the BBC.

Dell'Olio, who was voted out of the BBC1 contest earlier this month, will officially open the Erotica 2011 event in London on Friday.

The three-day event at Olympia had to drop plans for a Strictly theme after the BBC threatened legal action.

Organisers had to change the name on promotional material for what is billed as the "world's biggest adult lifestyle show", and remove the image of a glitterball. However they will continue to have a dance theme.

Erotica spokesman Savvas Christodoulou said: "The Strictly judges made some very harsh remarks about her which were in some cases below the belt.

"In our opinion she exudes glamour and sexuality - and has embraced the eroticism of dance, the theme of Erotica 2011."
