MODEL pals Nadia Forde and Daniella Moyles are set to battle it out for a slot on fashion show Xpose.
Celebrity Apprentice star Daniella was tipped as a dead cert to replace presenter Aisling O'Loughlin when she goes on maternity leave from the TV3 show at the end of this month.
But Irish-Italian beauty Nadia is now the front runner for the gig despite having less TV experience, because she has more "all round appeal".
Both girls are expected to be called in to take part in a screen test for the role, which has yet to be finalised despite Aisling's impending departure.
Former X Factor contestant Melanie McCabe is another name in the mix after she expressed interest in the role.
"They haven't even advertised the role yet, but it will be a show reel and a screen test that will decide," a TV3 insider told the Herald.
"Nadia is the one that everyone is talking about in TV3 at the moment because she is young and new.
"She has the look for TV and is one of those people that appeals to both men and women," said the source.
LA based Nadia (24) is due to return to the States this month where she is the subject of a reality TV show about pursuing stardom.
But it is said that she would jump at a chance for a role in the show, which is one of the most widely watched fashion programmes here.
Nadia has made no secret about her TV ambitions and Xpose has proved a successful breeding ground for some of the country's best known presenters.
But Nadia's body of work on TV pales in comparison to Daniella (26) who worked on the ill-fated Movie Show and RTE's Bulletin TV before being snapped up by Hollywood talent agency Octagon Entertainment over the summer.
"Daniella is another name in there, but bosses really like the idea that Nadia is someone totally different," explained the source.
And the woman who will be stepping aside, expectant mum Aisling says that she has no part in the choice of replacement.
"I don't really fancy a gorgeous model taking over my job, but I have no say," she laughed.
