Mel B has reportedly signed a £1million (€1.68m) X Factor deal to become the final judge and spice up this year’s show.

According to reports, the former Spice Girl, 39 , met with Simon Cowell two weeks ago about the job.

The terms were finally agreed today.

It is understood the news will be confirmed by ITV tomorrow morning.

Mel B (39), who currently lives in the Hollywood hills, impressed Cowell with her controversial straight-talking approach during a guest appearance on the panel in 2012.

The singer is well-equipped for a stint on the ITV show, having previously judged on X Factor Australia and America's Got Talent.
