TV3 is offering viewers a chance for viewers to win €5,000 each weekend with its new home-grown summer schedule.

The Herald revealed last month that the commercial station was going to broadcast two brand new weekend additions to rival Brendan O'Connor's Saturday Night Show on RTE.

One production will be a game show provisionally titled Sitting on a Fortune. TV3 said: "Teams of two will take part in a series of rounds, during which the aim is to solve puzzles against the clock."

It is not known who the show's presenter will be, but Alan Hughes and Lucy Kennedy's names are rumoured to be in the hat.

Jeff Ford, director of content at TV3, previously told the Herald that there was plenty more in store for the former Podge and Rodge presenter.

"Lucy is on contract with us now," he said. "She's a real talent and yes, we're going to be doing more with her. It's about looking forward, but there will be formats for her."

The mother of two joined TV3 last summer, leaving RTE after eight years.

Dubliner Lucy currently fronts Late Lunch Live with Martin King and has signed a long-term contract with TV3. If she gets the chat show, the game show could go to Hughes .
