Louis Walsh: ‘Shake and fake’ Christopher Maloney can’t win X Factor
X FACTOR judge Louis Walsh has slammed contestant Christopher Maloney as ‘dull’, revealing the other contestants refer to him as ‘shake and fake’ backstage.
Walsh told the official show website: “Maloney is bland and boring. For some unfathomable reason, the public still like him. He really suits his new nickname - shake and fake.”
However the Mayo man added: “Chris can really sing though, I’ll give him that.”
The outspoken judge also told The Guardian that he thinks this year’s series is missing Simon Cowell, and also former judge Sharon Osbourne.
“We're probably missing Simon Cowell and maybe Sharon Osbourne”, he said.
However he said he thinks that show bosses should keep Tulisa on the panel, saying: “She works hard and she's honest. I did say she's a chav in a tracksuit, but she's a good chav in a good tracksuit - she's a lovely girl.
"I was dreading meeting her. I thought she was going to be a right little knacker - You know, a real toughie.”
Walsh also said he didn’t want Cheryl Cole to return to the show, claiming that she disliked him since he managed Girls Aloud and made Nadine Coyle the lead singer.
“From the moment I said Nadine was the best singer, the others alienated me - she is the best singer, by a mile”, he said
In a jibe at Cole he said “(Nadine) didn’t marry a footballer - If she'd married a footballer she'd have been a big star.
“Cheryl knows how to work it. Cheryl is all about Cheryl", he added.
