THEY shocked us with a hilarious rendition of 'Oops!...I Did It Again' by pop legend Britney Spears.
Now Irish twins John and Edward Grimes hope to win over 'The X-Factor' judges with a cover of Queen's iconic song 'We Will Rock You'.
Last night their mentor, Louis Walsh, told the Irish Independent they would attempt the classic anthem to tie in with next Saturday's 'rock week' theme.
He believes the 18-year-olds might be the next Ant and Dec and insists they are still in the race to win.
They have been booed and blasted for dance routines and sky-high blonde hairdos. Facebook sites have been set up with the sole purpose of campaigning for the teenagers to be booted off the show.
'X-Factor' judge Simon Cowell has also referred to them as "vile little creatures" in the past.
But last night Louis Walsh claimed many eagerly awaited their performance. Even Robbie Williams and Peaches Geldof were fans, he said.
Bookies William Hill are currently giving the boys odds of 15/8 to last another three weeks in the popular TV show.
"They haven't been at the bottom two, I am happy. They are great," Mr Walsh said.
"In my eyes, that is job done. I had Peaches Geldof on the phone to me saying she loved them and Robbie Williams also said he thought they were great."
Mr Walsh said the boys, students at Dublin's Institute of Education, were bearing up well under the pressure.
"They are living the dream. I am really glad they have got as far as they have," he said.
"I remember when PJ and Duncan came on the scene and everyone had a laugh.
"Now they are Ant and Dec and multi-millionaires. Maybe the same thing will happen to the boys."
Support
However, he said it was "too late" to try and allow Irish people to vote for the boys, who are relying on the support of British voters and ex-pat Irish workers.
But the twins' grandfather Kevin Grimes insisted the boys were doing well.
"I think they are doing alright," he said.
And they are being heaped with support in their home area of Finnstown, in Lucan, Dublin. The local Lord Lucan pub has become the unofficial headquarters for supporters of the boys.
