Lisa Cannon power-lifted her way into prime-time viewing this week as her documentary proved a hit.

The Xposé presenter has spent the past few months transforming herself into a professional weightlifter.

TV3 recorded a peak viewing of 213,500 people tuned in to watch her battle her way to the Powerlifting championships in Drogheda.

The determined beauty got lots of feedback for her one-off show Presenter to Powerlifter which aired on Tuesday night.

She has made it through to the European Championships but hasn't yet decided if she will take it to the next step.

Speaking afterwards, Lisa (35) said that it was "hard to watch" but that she was thrilled by the reaction.

"I was so nervous because I spent the eight weeks prior focusing solely on the challenge itself that I didn't really think about the fact it was going to be on TV," she said.
