Lily Allen turned down 'Game of Thrones' incestuous role opposite brother because it made her 'uncomfortable'
Lily Allen is a well-known face in music circles, but the singer has revealed she recently turned down an acting role in hit TV series ‘Game of Thrones’.
The 29-year-old ‘Sheezus’ singer was offered a role opposite her acting brother Alfie in the series, but turned it down because she felt ‘uncomfortable’ with it.
The mum-of-three admitted she was disturbed by the scene, in which she would have portrayed her brother Alfie’s character Theon Greyjoy’s sister, Yara.
"I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and s**t," Lily said.
"Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks.”
But Lily said she would be open to doing a musical cameo; “I would be open to doing a musical cameo like Sigur Ros, though,” she wrote online.
Alfie Allen plays the part of Theon in the hit TV series
The season two scene involves Theon and his sister, now played by Gemma Whelan, riding horseback as Theon caresses her. He doesn’t realise they are related until later on.
Lily’s actor brother Alfie Allen has played the character of Theon since the first season of the show.
