'Late Late' fails to draw big audience
RTE's 'Late Late Show' failed to attract huge audiences when it made its return to our TV screens last Friday night.
Despite attempts by Ryan Tubridy to draw in the viewing public with an interview with legendary rocker Bob Geldof, the show managed to fetch an average audience of just 518,400.
Viewership peaked shortly before 11pm when 608,000 people tuned in to watchPriory Hall campaigner Stephanie Meehan give Ryan an emotional interview about the loss of her partner Fiachra to suicide and her financial woes.
The All-Ireland hurling final, with an average audience of 885,200 viewers on RTE One, became the second most viewed programme of the year so far after 'Mrs Brown's Boys'.
