Kye Sones set to replace Christopher Maloney on X Factor live tour
KYE Sones looks set to replace Christopher Maloney on the X Factor live tour as producers meet today to decide whether to allow the Liverpool singer on tour.
Maloney has been dropped from all adverts for the tour following a blazing row with the production crew and fellow contestants on Sunday, culminating with producers refusing to allow him to perform in the finalist Christmas medley.
A source close to the producers has said it looks “about 90% certain” that Maloney will be axed from the tour following the incident.
Show bosses will then be forced to offer a full refund to all those who have already purchased tickets – as some may have bought their's based on Maloney performing.
The singer looks set to lose out on a paycheque worth over €120,000 if he loses his place on the tour.
Meanwhile other X Factor stars have been tweeting their support for Kye to take Christopher’s place on the tour – Ella, Union J, Rylan and James Arthur have all tweeted messages of support to see Maloney replaced by Sones.
Both Kye and fellow over Carolynne Poole have slammed Maloney since the weekend, both claiming that “the mask” he held up to the world for ten weeks had finally slipped.
Producers are expected to confirm later today after their meeting whether Maloney will remain on the tour.
