'Killinaskully' top holiday draw as RTE hammers TV3 in ratings

Comedy 'Killinaskully' was the biggest draw for viewers on Irish television channels on Christmas Day attracting 770,000.

RTE wiped the board with rival TV3, claiming nine out of the top 10 programmes on the day. The success of 'Killinaskully,' combined with the film 'Inside I'm Dancing', meant that more than half of all people watching television in the country were tuned into the national broadcaster.

Other big festive draws were soaps 'Eastenders' and 'Fair City'.
