KATHRYN Thomas has said she is confident that ‘The Voice’ will return for a third series, after its second run wrapped up at the weekend.

Sunday’s final saw Cork’s Keith Hanley crowned the winner, with viewership peaking at almost one million people.

“I’d love to do it again, it’s a lot of hard work but we’ve had even higher ratings this year”, Kathryn told the Irish Independent.

“The standard of talent has been a lot higher this year and the ratings have reflected that, we’ve been getting almost 40pc of the available audience most weeks which is even more than the Late Late gets” she added.

34-year-old Kathryn also revealed that her favourite contestant on the show was John Gaughan, who was eliminated in the semi final.

“I was so shocked when John was eliminated. I’ve loved him since the first audition when I remember him wowing us with his voice, but absolutely everyone deserved their place in the final.”

However she added that she’s exhausted after a busy few months.

“Obviously with Operation Transformation and The Voice coming back-to-back, my work load is very top heavy at the start of the year.

“I’ve got nothing on for the next two months though, so for the next few days I’m going to stay at home and catch up on some box sets, and then head on a holiday”, she said.

Kathryn was speaking at Friday's VIP Style Awards where she was voted most Stylish woman.

She was wearing a stunning gown designed by Russian Iya Solas.

The presenter added she no longer pays attention to what people say about her style.

“I’ve become a lot more confident in my own style over the last few years, and have learned not to take criticism to heart.”

She was the target of abuse on Twitter for hair style on The Voice’s semi final, however she says she brushed it off.

“You’re always going to get criticised on Twitter and I’ve learned not to take that on board” she said.
