The show received negative reviews, but presenter Jennifer Maguire steered clear of reading about her new 2FM morning show.
The 33-year-old told the Herald that she and her Breakfast Republic co-hosts Bernard O'Shea and Keith Walsh are still bedding in at the RTE radio station and have no intention of taking any criticism to heart.
"I haven't read any of the reviews because it's the first day or week and anyone who worked in radio will tell you it takes a while to settle in," Jennifer said.
"At the end of the day we have loads of twitter followers, loads of people are texting in and are fans of the show and that's all that matters.
"I find the dynamic great and I love working with Keith and Bernard, it is great fun so far."
With gruelling 5am starts now on the cards Monday to Friday for Jennifer, she said she's had little time to catch up with fiancé Lau Zamparelli.
"I go to bed at 9.30 at night now and don't see that much of Lau," she said. After years of having to look good for the cameras, the anchor insisted she intends to arrive to RTE's radio centre and take her seat in the studio in her pyjamas. But it has not happened yet.
