Comedy presenter Jennifer Maguire is not worried about her transition from TV to radio.

In fact, the Dublin funny woman is feeling so relaxed about her upcoming debut on 2FM airwaves that she plans to go make-up free and may even pack a onesie.

Jennifer has been confirmed as the new voice of the station's breakfast slot, alongside her Republic of Telly co-star Bernard O'Shea and stalwart radio host Keith Walsh.

"It's brilliant because I don't have to do my face in the morning and I can come in wearing a Onesie if I want," she told the Herald.

"There's a great atmosphere in the building and it's a lot more relaxed than TV. Not that there's less pressure but it's just different and its nice to do new things.

"Last year was my first time doing a musical and five years ago was my first time doing a TV show. It's a really exciting time and I think I'm in really good hands with Keith and Bernard, who have so much experience," explained the 33-year-old.

After weeks of speculation following the departure of breakfast presenter Hector Ó hEochagáin last month, Jennifer said it's nice to be able to put the wheels in motion.

"It is all just hitting home now, but everyone is being really nice."

The Republic of Telly host has revealed she will marry long-term partner Lau Zamparelli at Castle Leslie in Meath this summer.

Despite criticism from other broadcasters that moving presenters from TV to radio is not a recipe for success, the new team say their main aim is to make the show fun.

"We're just going to have fun on the radio," explained Bernard O'Shea.
