THEY did it again. The singing Irish twins known as 'Jedward' last night sailed through to the next round of the hit TV show 'The X Factor' in another nail-biting instalment.
A tabloid phenomenon in Britain, where critics either love or loathe them, John and Edward (18) avoided another sing-off, leaving Lloyd Daniels and Jamie Archer to battle it out for the final spot in next's week show. In the end Jamie was voted off the show.
The Grimes twins have been the talking point of this year's ITV competition thanks to their frenetic dancing and off-key singing, which has kept viewers rivetted. But their enthusiasm and hard work paid off this weekend with their performance of the Queen hit 'Under Pressure' on Saturday night's show.

The performance was watched at home by fans including dozens gathered at the Lord Lucan pub in Lucan, Dublin, where the twins are from.
The fusion of rap and singing, along with a choreographed routine, earned the boys their best comments from the judges so far in the series.
The song, which was a No 1 hit in 1981, with David Bowie sharing the vocals, proved a winning formula for the duo as they finally won over 'X Factor' judge Simon Cowell. "I can't judge you in the real world anymore, I have to judge you in Jedward land. . . that was your best performance yet," he said.
Musician Calvin Harris -- and a fan of Jedward's -- ran onstage with a pineapple on his head during their performance but the boys remained unfazed and continued singing.
One of the twins later asked backstage: "Who is Calvin Harris?" to which their mentor Louis Walsh replied: "Someone trying to cash in on your fame, it happens a lot."
Mr Harris later apologised for his stunt on his Twitter page. "Was just thrown out of 'X Factor' for jumping onstage during Jedward with a pineapple on my head," he tweeted.
"At the end of the day, I had a pineapple on my head. Sorry if I caused anyone embarrassment. PS I love Jedward."
The seven finalists opened last night's results show with an impressive performance of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and were joined onstage by music legends Queen. All 12 finalists were reunited to launch and perform their charity song, Michael Jackson's 'You Are Not Alone'.
The pair from Lucan in west Dublin have become tabloid sensations with critics divided over their popularity and singing talent.
They narrowly escaped elimination on last week's show but a last-minute reprieve from Simon Cowell led to Lucie Jones being voted off.
