AMY Poehler has responded to singer Taylor Swift who called jokes made by Poehler and Tina Fey at the Emmys ‘sexist’.

Referring to the jokes, Swift said: "You know, Katie Couric is one of my favourite people because she said to me she had heard a quote that she loved, that said, 'There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women'."

Star of hit comedy ‘Parks and Recreation’ Poehler responded in a statement issued to the Hollywood Reporter.

"Aw, I feel bad if she was upset. I am a feminist, and she is a young and talented girl," Poehler said.

"That being said, I do agree I am going to hell. But for other reasons. Mostly boring tax stuff."

Swift was reported to have been upset at the jokes made by the hosts about her several high profile relationships.
