IT IS one of the most successful shows to ever come out of Ireland, but 'Love/Hate' actor Peter Coonan has admitted that he still finds it extremely hard to watch himself on-screen.
Stuart Carolan's hit drama will return with a fourth series this Sunday on RTE One and Coonan, who plays Fran in the gangland drama, will watch the season opener at the same time as the rest of us.
"We haven't seen anything at all yet, so I'll be watching it at home with a few friends. But I'll be looking at the TV behind a pillar or something, it's quite hard to watch yourself on TV," he said.
The 28-year-old said he'll be just as nervous this weekend as he was before the first ever episode of 'Love/Hate' aired over three years ago. "There will be serious nerves, big time. I'll talk to Killian (Scott) beforehand like I usually do though, that'll help."
While he cannot reveal any details about storylines, Coonan stressed that viewers will not be disappointed.
"It's one of those shows, too, that the time something drastic will happen, is when you're off making a cup of tea," said Coonan, who turned out to launch author Paul Carson's new book 'Inquest', last night.
