The former This Morning host and her dancing partner Artem Chigvintsev became the fifth couple to be sent home.
Britton began her dance routine on Saturday dressed in a cleaner's overall before stripping off to reveal a purple fringed minidress.
She shocked the judges with her attire as her and Chigvintsev danced the salsa.
The pair were placed in the bottom two along with Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh and her partner Pasha Kovalev.
The 55-year-old, who hosted ITV's This Morning for 10 years, described the dancing show as "the best programme in the world" and accepted that her "ticket on the train has run out" after last night's show.
Three of the four judges chose to save Walsh, with judge Craig Revel Horwood describing the choice between the two couples as a "no-brainer".
Britton said of the programme: "You've got dancing in the drawing room, you've got snogging upstairs, you've got throwing up in the garden. "It's been fantastic.
Speaking to Chigvintsev she said: "There have been highs and lows, we've got to know each other pretty well, and I do adore you."
Next week the remaining couples will perform live from Wembley Arena in aid of Children in Need.
