Eurovision most watched TV show so far this year

The Eurovision, election politics and Mrs. Brown have been Ireland’s most watched TV shows so far this year.

That’s according to the AGB Nielsen Media Research figures.



TV3 squeezed into the Top 10, even thought it was with ITV-made Coronation Street.



Rugby grabbed the top sport slot at 14, with the England Six Nations clash.



Operation Transformation - the weight-loss challenge series – squeezed in 20th place.



The 20 most-watched, from 2011 from 1 January to 30 June, 2011, as released by RTE are:



1. The Eurovision Song Contest, RTE1, 14 May – 1,182,700 people watched.



2. The Frontline Leaders’ debate, RTE1, 14 February, 964,800



3. Mrs Brown’s Boys, RTE1, 05 February, 924,200
