She's known for posing and pouting on Grafton Street, but model Daniella Moyles says taking part in TV3's Celebrity Apprentice will finally give her the chance to ditch that 'dolly bird' image.
"I knew it would challenge me and take me out of my comfort zone, but didn't expect it to be so challenging. I really think it's changed me quite a bit," the Kildare woman said.
"It's made me realise I'm capable of more. I never thought I was a dolly bird, but it made me realise my capabilities run a lot deeper then I initially gave myself credit for."
Daniella will appear on the show alongside other well-known faces including columnist Amanda Brunker, snake wrangler Emma Jane Quinlan, Boyzone's Mikey Graham, singer Francis Black and model Nadia Forde.
And the 24-year-old was in it to win it. "I'm naturally quite competitive so I wanted to win from the moment it started. It was pretty exhausting. Every episode is a three-day shoot with four or more cameras filming," she said.
"There were 300 hours of filming so it felt a lot longer then a three-week shoot. But I made some great friends from it and will only view it as a positive."
Unfortunately, the slim brunette will miss the first episode, as she'll be Stateside meeting with industry big wigs.
"I'm going over to do my first bout of screen tests and auditions," she explained.
"I'll be in LA for over a month. So I won't get to see the first episode that goes out on September 23, but I knew that from the get go."
Daniella will spend the month meeting with TV execs and head honchos for various TV networks.
Most of us may expect the model to opt for light entertainment shows, but Daniella says she would love to become the female David Attenborough and front a show on the National Geographic channel .
"There are lots of things I would like to try out -- I have much more diverse interests then entertainment news or fashion.
"People tend to think that's all I'm interested in because of the modelling, but I would love to work with National Geographic. There are a lot of venues I would like to explore."
It could be the move of a lifetime, but Daniella is staying grounded. "My family are really excited, but I'm always, air on the side of 'let's see what happens' -- because you never know what is going to happen."
In fact, Daniella says she's more excited about an upcoming holiday with her boyfriend Dara Quilty.
"I'm going to Santorini with my boyfriend for two weeks and I'm way more excited about that," she told the Diary.
